Down in the garage, drifting in her embrace
He's on an island of serenity
Outside the gateway they're coming closer
Rain settles gently on their uniforms
Comme Vingt Mille Lieues sous les Mers
Comme Vingt Mille Lieues sous les Mers
Down in the garage after the race
For only a moment the earth stood still
While they are kissing, exposed by the searchlights
Into the cameras she fires her gun
Comme Vingt Mille Lieues sous les Mers
Comme Vingt Mille Lieues sous les Mers

Notes:
"Nelson Highrise" is a quartet of songs that are all part of the same story. "The Garage" follows "The Elevator" and "The Mirror" is followed by "Scum of the Earth".
On the labels of Jerusalem and Sensations the song's full title is given as "Vingt Mille Lieues Sous Les Mers incl. The Nelson Highrise Sector 3: The Garage". The "Poem Remix" version on the Dreamscapes collection is referred to as "20.000 Lieues Sous Les Mers".
"Vingt Mille Lieues Sous Les Mers" is French for "20000 Leagues Under the Sea", the title of one of Jules Verne's best-known novels. Marian Gold has said he's a big fan of Jules Verne.
