Notes:
Released only on cassette, and only to members of the official fan club,
History is a collection of early Alphaville demo tracks, some b-sides,
a few out-takes, two live tracks ("Big in Japan" and "Islands" - a version of
"On Islands" from the group New Musik)
and a Reggae cover of "Forever Young"
by a Jamaican band (name unknown).
"Leben Ohne Ende" is a version of "Seeds" with German lyrics.
"Voice of the Dolphins" is notable for being Alphaville's shortest song...
The cover is a drawing of three dolphins (complete with hair and clothes) in
the same pose as Bernhard, Marian and Ricky on the cover of
Afternoons in Utopia. It is very similar to a picture
drawn by Christiano Urban, which appeared in the Utopia Mirror.

SURPRISE TAPE
The Alpha's have rummaged around in their archive and put together a tape for you of until now unreleased material. Included on this tape are recordings from the early beginnings in Münster, demo versions, as well as live recordings. This tape is exclusively available only to fan club members through us and it is forbidden to make copies of it or put it to commercial use.

for Imaginary Films'. This was the very first recording in Alphaville's own
Lunapark Studio in Berlin (the end of 86).

Live recording at the Tempodrome, Berlin, of an Aids benefit concert including
Albert & the Heart of Gold. The line up back then: Rainer Bloss/fairlight,
Julie Ocean/keyboards, Wulf Clausen/drums, Flo Florie/guitar, Steffi
Markus/bass, Gabi Becker/backing vocals.
